Bunkers

Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints, and then leave the rake with the handle pointing toward the tee of the hole being played.

  • Always enter the bunker at the lowest point.
  • Pull rake toward you as you exit the bunker.
  • If required, rake other affected areas.
  • Do not pile sand at the edge of the bunker. Push back excess sand.
  • Do not rake the face of the bunker. Smooth out with the back of rake.

Bunker Rake Policy

Always leave the rake outside of the bunker with the handle parallel to the line of flight of the hole being played with the handle pointing back towards the tee.

Damage To Greens

Flagsticks, Bags etc. Players and caddies should ensure they cause no damage to the green when putting down bags or the flagstick. They should not stand too close to the hole when handling the flagstick or removing the ball. Replace the flagstick on leaving the green.

  • Don’t drop the flagstick on the putting surface as it will cause damage.
  • Always lower the flagstick by club….or by hand.
  • Avoid damage to surrounds by placing the stick in the centre of the cup.

Care of The Course

Sand buckets are available and are to be used for repairs to all divots. It is compulsory for all golfers to carry and use sand buckets. Bunkers are to be raked and pitch marks on greens repaired. Buggies and Electric Carts are not to be taken across or within 4 metres of greens or on tees.
